Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)If anything, this book is only good for learning about financial institutions not covered in other intro finance books--extensive information on mortgage markets, the federal reserve, commercial banks, etc.
The authors' explanations of financial calculations are obscure (obsessive use of subscripts and acronyms). Paragraphs are often wordy.
For financial math, I would recommend:
Brealey, Myers, and Marcus for corporate finance principles
Bodie, Kane, and Marcus (not as good as Brealey, but still good) forinvestment principles
Madura for foreign exchange principles
