I am a health insurance broker and I use the book to educate both employer and employees. In the book, you'll learn that 30% of our healthcare costs are the "unit costs" for services (physicians, lab tests, hospitals, whatever). The 70% balance is how often the services are used. Healthy employees use fewer services which means lower health insurance costs. As the employer begins to assimilate this information and understands that a proactive strategy is what is needed, he or she becomes more open to the ideas and changes I want to present. The book becomes the reference point that remains long after I've left his/her office.
